Position Description: European Banks Credit Research Associate

The associate will work with one of the top rated analysts for a top US based investment bank on the street. The European Banks Credit Research team provides market leading coverage on Investment Grade Bank Credit including subordinated and senior bank capital instruments. The research associate will help analyze market trends, track news flows, identify relative value trade recommendations and work with the team on various projects, client requests and thematic reports.

Desired Background -

- B.Tech from IIT or any other reputed Engineering institution (or) MBA from top tier colleges

- 1-6 years of Industry experience in Fixed income markets, preferably covering the financials credit domain

- Any progress towards CFA will be an added advantage

- Knowledge of advanced excel, VBA and any other programming language will be preferred

- Strong academic record, quantitative skills and good understanding of financial markets

Knowledge/Skills:

- Knowledge of fixed income instruments, especially bank capital instruments

- Understanding of banking regulations will be a plus

- Any experience in dealing with large data sets will be a significant advantage

Interpersonal and Other Skills:

- Must be thorough and extremely detail oriented, with a low tolerance for error

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines required

- Must be independent enough to look for solutions to problems, but keep detailed records of what assumptions and steps were taken, and be able to communicate the logic in a clear and concise manner

- Must have strong interest in financial markets

- Strong team player

- Must be flexible about work hours
