Evalueserve - Business Research Manager - Oil & Gas Sector

Looking for Business Research professional with exposure to Oil & Gas Industry for our Gurgaon Office.

Client management responsibilities :

- Supporting the corporate strategy team of a broad energy company by providing bespoke research and analysis specific to competitor intelligence, market research, and financial or operational benchmarking

- Attend/ lead client calls; Analyse, interpret and synthesize learning from various research sources and draw executable conclusions for stakeholders

- Structure problems, plan and communicate deliveries basis timelines and bandwidth

- Client communication - Clearly express ideas, results, and recommendations both orally and in writing

Project/ People management responsibilities :

- Prepare/ oversee standard or custom products/reports capturing major Oil & Gas/ New energy industry trends and other key geopolitical events

- Lead/ manage the planning of support pipeline and work allocation based on timelines and available bandwidth

- Guide team members through project planning, execution, and feedback

- Manage/ execute end-to-end quality assurance processes

- Identify and address development and training needs of each team member

- Work on various group-specific strategic initiatives

- Lead collaboration between different sub-teams to improve client delivery experience and execute strategic initiatives

Pre-requisites:

- Team management experience: Must have a leadership team of 4-5 FTEs

- Excellent secondary research skills and good knowledge of relevant market and business research frameworks

- Relevant experience in each of the following:

- Data compilation, analysis and synthesis

- Report writing and presentation, with high skill in drawing insights from information

- Project management

- Excellent writing and editing skills in English, communication and inter-personnel skills

- Ability to understand the link between client needs, data and its application

- Good story-boarding skills

- Ability to flex between project planning and actual execution basis

- Excellent working skills with Microsoft Office tools, especially powerpoint, word and excel

- Familiarity with key research databases (knowledge of IHS, Wood Mackenzie are added advantage)

- Innovative thinking abilities and solution-oriented approach to work

Education and experience:

- MBA from a college of repute

- 8+ years of experience

- Relevant industry (Oil & gas or Energy) experience will be an added advantage

- Team player with an ability to work in challenging situations

- Strong academics with very good communication skills
