We provide our clients with better access to knowledge and information across all parts of their organization, thereby adding to their capabilities.   Position Description: APAC Economics   - The position is of an Associate with a Top ranking Economics team with a reputed Investment bank client of ours, who are responsible for the Firm's global forecasts of economic activity, interest rates and policy developments, notably with technical support that will be used in the team's quantitative estimates.   - General research assistance for the economics team, which provides macro research for use the end clients and by the internal equity and fixed income sales team at the client's end who would use this information to advise and direct their clients in managing their various portfolios.   In addition, the position will involve helping the team to update some of its regular research products   Position Description:   Strong background in macro and international economics   - Post Graduate Degree in Economics & statistics/Econometrics or MBA in Finance with a strong interest in economics.   - 3-5 years of working experience as an economist to include conducting or at least contributing to applied macroeconomic research projects (preferable)   Skills Required:   - Excellent statistical understanding   - Practical experience in time series analysis   - Excellent IT skills related to data manipulation and interpretation   - Strong writing capability   - Proven team building and team player Interpersonal Skills   - Strong communication skills - written and verbal (principally telephone)   - Initiative/Pro-activity   - Problem Solving/Questioning outlook   - Dedication/Resilience   - Teamwork   - Ability to prioritize   - Flexible approach to workload and demands of role   What we expect of you:   We will be looking for talented individuals who can combine an outgoing nature, strong   Communication, written, problem solving and analytical skills with numeracy, attention to detail and a questioning outlook.   Candidates need to be able to work well within small specialist teams, and be able to collaborate with, and contribute to, the team as well as listen.
