Evaluate Research: Equity Research Analyst - Global

- The job involves analyzing select high growth public stocks [Indian and mostly foreign] and writing detailed initial research reports and maintaining ongoing follow-up research coverage on the company. 

- This is a sell-side equity research function, but with almost none of the marketing/client distractions of almost all large brokerage firms. Stocks covered will be mid-cap equities globally, so one is not limited to just one country/sector. 

- Candidates will interact with the CEO/CFO of all the covered companies on a regular ongoing basis, and travel several times annually abroad [HK, Singapore, etc.] which will be a tremendous opportunity for the analyst. Focus is on quality over quantity, with a balanced workload [coverage list] and work-life balance with normal work hours, and more attention to detail and timeliness.

Job Description :

- Write initiation and on-going coverage reports on listed equities.

- Prepare financial models - including historical financial statements and estimates, ratio analysis, valuations [DCF, SOTP, etc.]

- Regular travel [India and abroad] and interaction with the researched company CEO/CFO's.

- Keep abreast of important trends and developments in the company and related sector.

- Interact and learn from colleagues with significant global fund management [long-only and hedge fund] and research experience and top-notch academic/industry credentials.

Key Skills/Experience :

- Fluent English [written/speaking] - must have English medium primary/college education.

- Ability to write research reports on a company with reasonable turn-around speed.

- Self motivation, ability to work independently on research projects.

- Person should have a very good interest in equities and the broader financial research process.

- Solid understanding of financial statements, ratios and valuation concepts.

- Attention to accuracy, presentation and detail. Experience in MSFT Excel and Word.

- Bloomberg skills a plus but not required [our company will provide Bloomberg training]

- Strongly prefer candidates who have previously lived [studied/worked] in Pune.

Years of Experience : 3 - 8 years work experience in investment research or working in the relevant industry role

Education : MBA/equivalent from prominent institute, or CFA/CA [or progress towards], or Masters in Finance/Economics
