Senior ETL Lead/Architect

This role will lead the implementation of batch data integration projects using IRM’s Enterprise Data Warehouse architecture and ETL tools. Candidate should have significant experience in implementing ETL processes in building data warehouse and data marts to support Enterprise Data Integration and Business Intelligence solutions. In this role, Senior ETL Lead/Architect would lead a team of 4 to 6 developers by directing the team on standards, design, coding and automation of ETL processes using technology and tools in IRM portfolio. Candidate should be able to contribute to development of IRM’s enterprise ETL framework and standards.

Required skills:

- Overall 8 to 10 years of experience implementing large scale ETL processes in data warehouse environments

- 4 to 5 years of hands on experience preferably with Oracle Data Integrator (Sunopsis), Informatica, Datastage or other major ETL tools.

- Strong knowledge of installation, configuration and administration of ETL tools

- Expert level knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL on Oracle 10g or later version of database, SQLServer 2000 or later version of database

- 1 to 2 years experience developing shell scripts on UNIX, Linux, AIX or other platforms

- Experience integrating ETL processes with automation tools such as Espresso, Autosys and Control M

- Good exposure to XML concepts and integration with ESB platforms such as Sonic MSB, Oracle ESB and IBM MQ

- Strong data profiling, analysis skills and exposure to integrating ETL processes with data quality tools such as Oracle Data Quality/Trillium, FirstLogic etc

- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts such as normalization, dimensional modeling etc

- Exposure to enterprise reporting tools such as SAP Business Objects, Microstrategy and Cognos

Other relevant skills:

- Ability to review work products (Technical design documents, ETL code, Unit testing documents etc) and provide guidance to junior team members

- Ability to integrate components from multiple development streams and lead system integration tests for EDW environment

- Ability to interface and communicate effectively with team members within and across project teams

- Ability to troubleshoot data issues

- Ability and willingness to provide operational support for ETL processes as needed
