Position Title: General Manager - HR   Business: Smart Utilities  Function / Department: Human Resources  Reporting to: Head HR (Smart Utilities)   Location: Mumbai   Qualification: Full time MBA / PGDBM (with HR Specialization) from Tier 1 institute only  Experience: 8 - 12 years  Industry: Telecom / Power / FMCG / FMCD only  Role & Responsibilities:   In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for:   - Drive performance and compensation management systems within the defined timelines and budgets   - End-to end talent acquisition, and be responsible to meet headcount requirements as per business plan   - Work with other sub-domain teams within HR to provide one HR interface to employees, managers and business leaders   - Identify critical positions and develop individualized career and succession plans   - Pro-actively work with the unit/function heads for any specific need/issues which they may have   - Pro-actively identify and suggest areas of improvements and changes   - Work on identifying training and development needs for the assigned groups. Work with the L&D team and address such needs   - Drive employee engagement and related activities like one on one meetings, Skip Level meetings, VOE survey, action planning etc.  - Enhance understanding of HR policies and processes, conduct sessions, trainings and audits for the same   - Ensure compliance to all HR policies and processes for the assigned units   - Work on middle/Senior management development initiatives as may be undertaken from time to time   - Work with business heads and managers on planning the budgets (compensation, manpower, etc.), periodically reviewing utilization and taking due corrective action as and when required   - Balance the business expectations vis-a-vis the HR needs of the Company   - Participating in the Leadership discussion at the Business Unit level  - Partnering with Business Unit leadership to plan and execute strategies that ensure maximum engagement of employees while actively managing headcount targets and assisting in budget management   - Ensuring a dynamic pipeline of talent through rigorous performance management, e.g., leadership assessments, coaching and development of employees, candid and timely performance feedback   Skills & Knowledge:   - Should have sound HR Concepts related to recruitment, succession planning, compliance, and performance management and employee engagement.   - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the organization. Demonstrated excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills. Able to work in a diverse work group.   - Proven ability to identify and analyze needs, problem solving abilities, knowledge of long-term strategic planning, leadership/management development.   - Proven effective leadership skills in being flexible, creative, team-oriented, strategic and process driven.
