Job purpose:
- The CSR Lead will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and managing corporate social responsibility initiatives to align with the organization's values, goals, and commitments to sustainability and social impact.
- This position involves strategizing, coordinating, and evaluating CSR programs to foster positive relationships with stakeholders and contribute to the company's reputation as a responsible corporate citizen.
Accountabilities and Activities:
Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive CSR strategy aligned with the organization's mission, values, and business objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement: Identify key stakeholders, including employees, customers, communities, NGOs, and government agencies, and establish collaborative partnerships to support CSR initiatives.
Program Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee CSR programs and projects, including volunteer initiatives, philanthropic activities, environmental sustainability efforts, and social impact campaigns.
Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Manage budget allocation for CSR initiatives, monitor expenditures, and optimize resources to maximize impact and effectiveness.
Employee Engagement: Promote employee engagement in CSR activities through volunteer opportunities, sustainability awareness programs, and employee-driven initiatives.
Community Relations: Cultivate positive relationships with local communities through community outreach, sponsorship programs, and engagement in social development projects.
Environmental Sustainability: Develop and implement strategies to reduce the company's environmental footprint, promote sustainable practices, and support renewable energy initiatives.
Reporting and Compliance: Monitor and evaluate the impact of CSR initiatives, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare reports for internal stakeholders and external stakeholders as required.
Communication and Advocacy: Communicate CSR goals, achievements, and initiatives internally and externally through various channels, including social media, press releases, and corporate communications.
Ethical Standards: Ensure compliance with ethical standards, corporate governance principles, and regulatory requirements in all CSR activities and initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sustainability, Social Sciences, or related field (preferred).
- Total work experience of 15-18 years with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in corporate social responsibility, sustainability management, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of CSR principles, trends, and best practices, as well as knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, coordination, and execution of CSR initiatives.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate CSR objectives and outcomes to diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to address complex social and environmental challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and functions to integrate CSR into the organization's overall business strategy.
- Commitment to ethical conduct, integrity, and corporate citizenship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CSR-related software applications.
- Certification in CSR or sustainability management is a plus.
