Equity Strategy Role - BFS

Individual contributor role :

Strategy Knowledge : 

- Has a good understanding of all GICS sectors. 

- Should be able to spot key trends that drive investment views on their sector and covered companies and utilizes them to generate differential views. 

- Present in-depth research and analysis supporting a hypothesis and understands their commercial impact.

Idea generation :

- Able to generate a theme based on the current macro-economic scenarios and its implications.

Business requirement : 

- Deliver on business requirement in an independent manner with very little guidance across all geographies.

Research communication and reports writing :

- Communicates research views to internal and external clients and able to consistently apply sound research writing principles to produce independent research. 

- Understands the structure, style and importance of written research reports. Writes research reports which are clear, consistent, and non-consensual and supported by facts and analysis.

- Adhoc projects include data gathering/analysis, preparation of marketing presentations etc.

Client requests :

- Should handle large client requests which require inputs from multiple analysts from different geographies

Skills Required :

Qualifications :

- MBA/CA/CFA or equivalent degree in finance

Skills :

- Strong technical skills in analyzing GICS sectors, financial modelling, writing research reports

- Ability to work independently; comfortable in dealing with ambiguity

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Hands on experience in advanced Microsoft excel and exposure to databases including Datastream and Bloomberg

- Knowledge of statistical analysis would be an advantage

- Flexible approach to workload and demands of the role

Experience :

- Minimum 2 years of total experience

- Should have domain expertise in handling a financial role and large client requests

- Should have managed product quality, handled multiple stakeholders, and mentoring experience
