Equity Research Strategy

Our research teams generate investment ideas and then market those ideas to institutional investors, hedge funds, and our own internal sales force and traders. The associate will support a highly rated European Strategist and interact with the relevant teams in our global offices. Working within the Strategy team, the candidate will provide analytical support to the team including:

- Perform data collation and analysis,

- Create and maintain information on databases etc

- Monitor, analyze and comment on day-to-day newsflow

- Help with thematic projects

- Over a period of time you will write reports and participate in the investment recommendation
decision making process.

Educational Requirements:

- IIT/NIT /CFA

- 4-6 years of Financial/ Industry experience

- Strong academic record, quantitative skills and an interest in and understanding of financial markets

Skills Required:

- Ability to understand and analyse economic and financial data

- Excellent skills relating to data manipulation and interretation

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Strong Excel skills

- Ability to synthesize research findings

- Ability to write summary reports

Interpersonal Skills

- Strong communication skills - written and verbal (principally telephone)

- Initiative/Ability to be pro-active

- Problem Solving/Questioning outlook

- Dedication/Resilience

- Ability to effectively work in a team

- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks

- Flexible approach to workload and demands of role

Other Skills

- Strong academic record, quantitative skills and an interest in and understanding of financial markets

- Any progress towards CFA (AIMR, USA) would be preferred

- Any experience in strategy will be a plus, though not a ‘must-have’
