Job Description

1. Purpose of the Job

- To be an integral team member of one of the global sector teams in the Global Research division, providing a variety of research, modeling and analytical services to onshore members of the team

2. Environment of the Job

- industry/company analysis

- advanced modeling/valuation

- production of key reports/presentations for internal use and contributing to externally published reports.

- contact (in due course) with 3rd party Company management

- regular communication with the global team and with other parts of business.

- Take active part in regular sector conference calls

3. Guidance and Authority

- sources industry and company data and creates/maintains systems to store and distribute such data.

- builds/maintains company models under the direction of the sector head

- monitors news and events and keeps global team appraised of new developments

- responds quickly to urgent demands for information/analysis, working extended hours as required

4. Experience and Skills

- Research - Proficient at financial modeling/analysis, data orientation and accounting skills a must. Knowledge of statistical/quantitative techniques an advantage

- Sector - Sector knowledge an added advantage

- Systems - proficient at Excel, Word and PowerPoint;

- Personal - Written and spoken English; hard-working; organized; diligent; and above all, a team player.

5. Audit requirement

- To abide by the Group Compliance Policy by containing compliance risk in conjunction with the relevant Compliance Department. The term compliance embraces all relevant laws, rules and codes with which the business has to apply.

- To continually re-assess the operational risks inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures, management restructures, and the impact of new technology in conjunction with the donor Group companies.

- To maintain internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators

- They need to implement the Group Compliance Policy as applicable to their role.

- The requirement for each employee to be aware of the operational Risk scenario associated with their role, and to ensure that all actions during their employment with take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring.
