Equity Research - BFSI

As a Research Analyst, the candidate as part of the Equity Research team and will be expected to gather, track and analyze relevant data, update models/analysis, present findings to internal clients, assist with key research publications, adhoc research projects, etc.

Responsibilities :

- The candidate will be required to work with team members based in our regional offices (London, New York, Singapore, etc) to create and update models/spreadsheets in connection with valuation and research forecasts

- The candidate will work as an individual contributor and should have a basic understanding of the equity markets and be well versed with financial statement analysis

- The candidate will need to compile historical data in respect of stocks and companies from publicly available sources as well as update data in a timely manner when new information on companies earnings becomes available (typically companies release quarterly earnings statements)

- The candidate will be required to update and maintain databases to track relevant financial, economic or other indicators which may be relevant to the sector and/or region under coverage

- The candidate will be required to gather and organize data meaningfully to analyze and evaluate trends as well as perform adhoc analysis as may be required by the senior analyst.

- Working knowledge of Bloomberg.

Skills:

- 2 - 6 years relevant experience in equity research

- Should be proficient in Advanced Excel as the candidate would have to analyze data and build models in Excel.

- Sectors Covered - Capital goods or Engineering.
