Role: Equity Research Analyst - Chemical & Materials Sector
Job Description:
- Conducting in-depth research & responsible for fundamental equity research analysis of Chemical sector covering global Specialty Chemicals and Construction Materials.
- Converting the understanding of the sector into quantitative elements through financial models and valuations
- Coverage universe includes large-mid size Material companies in Europe, US and Emerging Markets.
- Responsible to handle fundamental industry trends and coverage of individual companies in financials sector across global equity and credit markets.
- Interacting with clients such as Professional Investors, Prop Funds, and Money Managers to bring in greater mileage
- Analysis of macro-economic events, regulatory framework across geographies and capital markets
- Maintaining research data, tracking corporate results and events on a day-to day basis.
- Build and maintain financial models for financial Institutes.
- Helping generate innovative and successful investment ideas and solutions for clients
- Broader purpose is to generate money-making research ideas/products for fund manager clients
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- A graduation degree or MBA/CA required with added qualifications like CFA/CA/FRM preferred..
- Dynamic personality with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written skills with ability to communicate, summarize and discuss investment case succinctly
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Work independently and take strong ownership of tasks
- Minimum 2-5 years of professional experience preferably in equity research covering global sector.
