Equity Research Analyst - Buy Side
Candidate must have a second degree (CA/M.Com/M.A/MBA etc.)
- Conduct thorough fundamental analysis of publicly traded companies, including financial statement analysis, valuation modeling, and competitive benchmarking.
- Stay abreast of market developments, industry trends, and macroeconomic factors influencing equity markets, and assess their potential impact on investment opportunities.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models to forecast company performance, evaluate growth prospects, and estimate intrinsic value.
- Perform comprehensive industry research and competitive analysis to identify key drivers of company performance and assess relative positioning within the market.
- Monitor company news, earnings releases, and regulatory filings to stay informed about material developments and events impacting investment thesis.
- Develop and maintain relationships with company management teams, industry experts, and sell-side analysts to gather insights and validate investment hypotheses.
- Prepare detailed investment reports, including investment memos, presentations, and research notes, to communicate investment recommendations and rationale to portfolio managers and clients.
- Participate in investment meetings and discussions to present research findings, discuss investment ideas, and contribute to portfolio decision-making process.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, and other members of the investment team to execute investment strategies and optimize portfolio performance.
- Continuously evaluate and refine research methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance research efficiency and effectiveness.
