Equity Research Analyst - Auto Sector - Investment Bank

We have an urgent position for an Equity Research Analyst - Auto Sector with the leading UK based investment bank, Mumbai

Job description:

Would work with the fundamental equity research team US & Uk

- Support Equity Research Analyst of a global investment bank in carrying out research on a portfolio of companies

- Track news, events, and results of the companies under coverage

- Track and monitor regulatory trends impacting the industry

- Build and maintain databases tracking key macroeconomic indicators/industry KPIs.

- Work on Financial Models - update historical numbers, build projections, and carry out valuation.

- Possess knowledge of stocks and Index research.

- Assist the Lead Analyst in preparation of company profiles, newsletters, flash notes, earning notes, initiating coverage reports, etc.

- Develop road show presentations

- Handle ad-hoc research requests as per client requirements

Skill Set Required :

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong understanding of accounting concepts and ability to conduct financial analysis

- Understanding of valuation methodologies

- Good financial writing skills (beyond factual reporting, such as company description)

- Well versed in preparing financial models and research valuations

- Knowledge of VBA, Excel Macros will be an added advantage

Education and experience :

Equity Research Auto Sector

Must hold an MBA (Finance) degree/CA qualification; CFA (US) would be an added advantage

Experience: 3- 5 years

Compensation: To be decided on a case-by-case basis, pegged with the best in the industry
