A fast growing Insurance Company is looking for an Equity Analyst/ Asst. Fund Manager based out of Mumbai. Below are details of the role.

Role Objective:

- The role requires in-depth knowledge and understanding of Indian equity markets as well as Portfolio management techniques and economic environment in the International and domestic markets impacting decision making and portfolio strategy.

- Equity Research for the policyholder and shareholder funds to generate returns consistent with the respective benchmark of funds.

- The role revolves around acquiring knowledge and conviction for taking Investment calls in order to outperform the Benchmark by minimizing risk and maximizing return.

Key Result Areas:

Business Impact :

- Equity analyst for mainly IT sector and any other sector assigned. Generate investment ideas for generation of alpha in various portfolios.

- Invest policy holder funds to generate returns consistent with respective benchmark of funds

- Ensure investment of funds as per Regulatory and Internal guidelines and limits

- Investment research of equity sectors allotted

- Fund returns should be in line with benchmarks

- No limit breaches and audit observations.

Customers / Stakeholders :

- Investment Group / Investment Committee (Accurate data submission for all Investment related reports.)

- Assist the team whenever there is any requirement for reporting

- All Investments done in accordance to the best practices adopted by organization.

Leadership & Teamwork :

- Work as a team in implementing Investment related projects and bring them to their logical conclusion.

- Driving Investment related idea generation and building stronger portfolio.

- Team meeting and daily morning meets discussing all investment related issues & opportunities.

Operational Effectiveness & Control :

- Strict implementation of strong controls in key processes of investments

- Aid in the preparation and implementation of all audit related documentation

- Ensure timely Regulatory compliance

- Strict implementation of strong controls in key processes of investments

- Ensure that templates and models of all portfolio companies are updated.

- Present sector overview.

- Timely meeting with Company management and SELL side analyst

- All Regulations and processes approved by the company & Regulator are followed.

- All financial models updated as and when required.

- Stock and sector presentation

- Attend SELL side meetings and management
