Job Overview:
Business development for offering Investment Banking services to Small and Mid-sized companies
Responsibilities:
- Deal Origination: reaching out to various corporates and establishing relationships with them, with an eye for securing mandates for financial services offered by the Company
- Assisting in deal execution: liaising with the execution team in all parts of transaction to ensure a smooth delivery to clients
- Active Involvement: ensuring a continuous engagement with clients to build a long term relationship
Typical activities on a day-to-day basis include:
- Creating database of relevant companies which can be reached out from a business development perspective.
- Establishing initial contacts with the Promoters / CFO / Decision Makers and setting up of meetings with an eye to offer financial services.
- Liaising with the chief executive / chief finance officers / finance managers of clients for smooth execution of transactions.
- Conduct regular follow-up calls and meetings with current and potential SME corporates.
Key Skills & Desired Candidate Profile:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and an entrepreneurial bent of mind.
- Relevant Investment Banking or corporate finance work experience of 1-3 yrs.
- Educational Qualification: MBA
