The Leader will lead team that will include both Credit Management Analysts and Loss Forecast Modelers. This role will be oriented to focus on guiding a team that helps set risk policy for our brand partners and also predict the impact of those risk policies on our loss models. The scope of responsibilities will include but not limited to managing underwriting and credit limit management strategies, developing the skills of Credit Management analysts & modelers, and owning relationships with internal partners like Client Sales and Collection.

Essential Job Functions :

- Leads team in all day-to-day inquiries, reporting, analysis, and issue resolution related to any of the various brand partner under their responsibility.

- Communicates Credit Mgmt. role, processes, policies, and procedures to all levels of internal stakeholders like Client Sales, Marketing, Collection and Customer Care.

- Acts as extension of US Credit Management team and interacts with key internal stakeholders to drive the correct analysis & recommendations for our brand partners.

- Leads individuals that are responsible for building and enhancing existing loss models for our brand partners.

- This role will interact heavily with our Loss Analytics department to help drive the creation of models but also to provide recommendations based on analysis of team.

- Leads the analysis and makes recommendations of specific portfolio trends and related reporting so as to evaluate the effectiveness of credit risk policy related to score cut-offs, account management, and bad debt losses within the co brand overarching strategy.

- Ensures accurate and complete analysis, including interpreting data and communicating results and recommendations to senior leaders, for on-going projects such as cut-off review, impact of value proposition, channel mix impact, and risk-based pricing updates.

Preferred Education/Certifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field such as Statistics or Accounting; or equivalent work experience. MBA preferred

Preferred Work Experience :

- 10-12 years- experience, most of which has been in credit industry

- Experience with statistical techniques such as generalized linear models, clustering, segmentation, multivariate analysis, and time series required

- Solid understanding of how to underwrite credit card apps and manage credit limits, 


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

- Demonstrated knowledge of the Credit Card business has a superior understanding of what drives profitability for a company like Alliance Data Card Services.

- Always uses knowledge of P&L calculations when making policy decisions and recommendations regarding the credit risk of the file.

- Demonstrated superior knowledge of current technologies associated with credit risk management.

- Consistently displays excellent verbal and written communication skills during interactions with direct reports, peers, and senior management.

- Solid analytical and quantitative skills. Able to develop these skills in others.

- Ability to organize tasks and determine shifting priorities on projects.

- Able to consult with direct reports, peers and senior management in developing creative solutions to global problems.

- Demonstrated management and leadership abilities, including development of experienced associates.
