What you will do
Technical Architect would be a recognized expert across multiple technology stacks and represent senior technical leadership within Epsilon's Product Engineering Organization. This individual will be responsible for helping shape the PeopleCloud Products charter and direction, actively lead strategic roadmaps, and technology decisions to meet business objectives. This individual would possess strong track record growing and influencing others across all levels of Engineering discipline and senior leadership.
This individual would play a crucial role in the complete Product life cycle from concept, implementation and taking it to production. Responsibilities include manage all aspects of Epsilon's SaaS implementations across PeopleCloud Products, includes - Messaging, CDP, Loyalty, Identity, IQ, Prospect & Discovery. This individual will partner closely with Engineering, Operations and Support across US and India and help build mission critical services, automation and continuous delivery ensuring applications meet critical service level objectives. Will take on the challenges with unparalleled complex business problems that spans across multiple capabilities across the PeopleCloud Platform.
The individual will be very hands-on and be on-the-ground working closely with engineers. Be the mentor and provide ample guidance to the teams with respect to technical challenges. Will make a difference with innovative thought leadership, best designs and contribute towards identifying technical risks and find alternate solutions to various problems. Will demonstrate significant impact on the solutions built through technical expertise and thought leadership.

What you will need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
- 15+ years of experience in Product Engineering roles with at least 3 in lead positions (such as Staff Engineer, Distinguished Engineer, Software Architect)
- Creative thinker and problem solver, able to distill complex problems down to actionable items with boring solutions
- Ability to thrive in a remote organization leading technology decision from Epsilon's India Product Center
- Deep and broad knowledge of current and emerging technologies that affect business and product outcomes
- Deep expertise in at least 1 of the major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), architecture and engineering at scale
- Expertise in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting major capabilities of a high-volume, mission critical, enterprise grade SaaS Platforms
- Hands on architecting and developing large scale Core Java applications. Experience in Cloud Native systems, Transactional Systems, Multi-Tenancy, and high availability
- Proven expertise with Java / .NET, concurrency, data structures, design patterns and resilient high-performance and scalable applications
- Deep expertise with REST, Messaging (KAFKA, RABBITMQ, etc.), stream processing (SPARK, STORM etc.), NoSQL and other database Systems (RDBMS, NO SQL Stores like Cassandra, HBase, Mongo, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally and effectively with customers and partners at the engineering leadership and executive level
- Ability to achieve wide sphere of influence across the Organization
- Evangelize successful adoption and use of tooling and technologies
- Lead conversations to encourage collaboration across teams
- Present at relevant events (e.g., conferences, user groups, meetups, webinars)
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with geographically and culturally diverse teams, and matrix organization.
