Position Overview

Epsilon India is the newest member in the Epsilon family. We have been scaling our India operations at a rapid pace over the last 3 years and have established Epsilon India as the global talent hub that delivers high quality mar-tech products and services to various clients globally.

As we continue to scale and grow, we are looking for a Director of Strategy & Insights who can support our sales teams in advising brands on how to make virtual one to one personalized connections with their customers. The ideal candidate will be an expert in understanding the marketing needs of enterprises and bringing relevant solutions to drive their marketing agenda.

Roles & Responsibilities

The Director of Strategy & Insights will have the following roles and responsibilities:

- Lead conversations with CMO/Brand Directors of prospective clients and serve as their trusted advisor to enable them invest to and optimize their returns on mar-tech spend

- Become a trusted strategic partner to the account delivery teams and work closely with the internal Clients, Client Services, Product & Delivery teams to drive sales of Epsilon's mar-tech offerings in the Indian market

- Lead delivery of consulting projects employing established frameworks & methodologies

- Facilitate a variety of client workshops, from crafting a client's strategic marketing roadmap to building a prioritized set of customer experiences

- Translate complex marketing challenges into tangible opportunities for improvement for the client

- Define performance metrics and measurement schemes as needed; create investment plans and business cases to establish and track marketing ROI

- Lead market research efforts to support client projects as well as business pitches

- Drive business planning and marketing transformation for clients by evaluating existing marketing processes and make recommendations for changes

- Create high-quality, compelling documents to communicate recommendations to clients

- Nurture business development opportunities by coordinating with internal teams on all aspects of the solution design, service delivery and pricing through the business development process

- Identify opportunities for additional Epsilon services, participate in proposal development by partnering with the India sales team to identify and quality the sales opportunities

- Engage with clients through the entire sales cycle and also through delivery, and serve as the single point of contact for the client

- Channel all relevant Epsilon's offerings and solutions to the client for consistency in messaging and to avoid confusion

- Develop a strong understanding of Epsilon's mar-tech offerings and be able to articulate a convincing value proposition for the client based on their business needs

- Solution the offerings for clients based on Epsilon offerings and client requirements

- Have a strong growth mindset by relentlessly pursuing new opportunities with clients (new & existing)

Key Performance Areas

The Director of Strategy & Insights will be measured on the following key performance areas:

- Drive conversion of sales opportunities (% win/close rate)

- Ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction by working collaboratively with Client Services, Product & Delivery teams

- Maintain a high level of utilization

- Define and drive a robust roadmap for Epsilon's mar-tech offerings by identifying trending mar-tech capabilities in the Indian market

- Achieve/exceed planned Sales Revenue & Contribution Margin across Epsilon's solutions

Qualifications & Requirements

We are looking for a Director of Strategy & Insights with proven experience in engaging with Indian clients to understand their business problems and propose marketing technology solutions. Specifically, s/he should:

- have strong Marketing Technology experience in both sales and delivery, specifically in the areas of Loyalty Marketing, CRM Solutions, Digital Experience solutions and Data & Analytics solutions

- be passionate about client success

- be viewed as a trusted advisor to clients

- create value by solving real business problems, and

- understand the value of coordinating and working in teams

The incumbent is required to have the following qualifications:

- Solid sales and marketing practice background, preferably from top strategy consulting firms (10+ years)

- Proven experience in engaging with clients through sales and delivery

- Experience working with clients in India and APAC market

- Impressive communication skills

- MBA from a top tier business school.
