Enterprise Architect - HealthCare & LS Domain (everything as in Solution Architect +)
Essential Responsibilities
The Enterprise Architect would be responsible for setting the enterprise target state architecture direction and guiding the organization in the transition from current state to target state.
This EA role will be responsible for working with others Architects in the team in stewarding key architecture decisions.
The Role, requires you to
- Interface and communicate efficiently and effectively with customers and other team members.
- Guide the organization in proper architecture practices, help in defining Architecture Principals, IT Governance, Future Roadmap, etc.
- Defines the system, technical, and application architectures, and in some instances the business systems/process architecture for major areas of development.
- Develop technical strategies and identify need for research and development in new technical areas to support technical strategies.
- Architects solutions across multiple hardware/software computing environments and system components.
- Provides architectural vision to appropriately align IT infrastructure to Organizational strategic, business needs and goals.
Requirements
- Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline and experience in the designing multiple platforms, software, communications, and server environments, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Masters Degree is preferred
- 12 - 15 years of relevant work experience in Information Technology, specifically in IT Architecture development and/or System and Application Development
- Understanding of networking, system administration, architectures and security elements, virtualization technologies, encryption, and servers
- Deep understanding of the Software Development Life-Cycle, multiple software development frameworks, and the integration of Security at the different phases of development
- Expertise in an Enterprise Architecture Framework such as DODAF, TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF, or similar
- Ability to identify, understand, articulate, and manage technology decisions across technical disciplines
- Strong ability to converse and effectively communicate at the 50,000 ft. view to senior leadership as well as the detailed technical level with the architects, implementation team, and operations teams
- Demonstrated ability to create, document, enforce, and assess information technology policies, procedures, standards, and practices
- Ability to understand business plans and their impact on technology. Strong ability to communicate at a business senior leadership level.
- Familiarity with regulatory and legal requirements (i.e., FISMA, SOX, HIPAA requirements).
- Excellent analytical and contextualization skills, ability to see the big picture while defining the individual elements, and ability to deal with imperfect information and ambiguity and still communicate confidently
- Excellent time management skills, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Self-motivated with the ability to motivate and manage others while needing minimal supervision. Must be able to work independently to tackle issues as they arise and effectively influence others who are involved
Strong technical certifications are a plus
