Description - Exciting opportunity to drive technical decisions and architecture in an E-commerce set-up. It entails the responsibilities of a lead engineering profile with software development, technical work and mentorship opportunities at a senior level.

Client Details :

The client is well-established organisation in the travel and e-commerce space. Having created a good name for itself in the market since its start-up days, the organisation has been working with new age technologies over time. Given their consistent expansion, the are looking to hire for this senior level position based out of Gurgaon.

Description :

Reporting to the CTO, you will be responsible for :

- Product engineering road map, quality assurance, software development life cycle and various services of organisations.

- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. Should be familiar with agile practices as well as be able to adapt these to the needs of the business, with a constant focus on product quality team management

- Work with the Directors, PM and Business to develop a long-term product plan, products and manage the release planning cycles for all products.

- Have a strong eye for the operational aspects such as performance tuning, monitoring, fault-tolerance

- Prototype creative solutions quickly, and be able to take a project from prototype to production quality

- Translate the impact of architecture and design choices on non-functional attributes like scalability, performance, availability and security

- Provide technical leadership to a team of excellent software engineers and make complex design decisions

- Hiring and mentoring your team; helping individuals grow in the organisation

Profile :

- B.Tech./B.E., M.Tech./MCA or equivalent degree in Computer Science

- 10-14 years of software development experience, with managerial capacity

- Strong hands on experience in at least one object oriented language (C++/Java) and one dynamic scripting language (e.g. Ruby, Python, PHP) is a must.

- Sound understanding of web technologies (e.g. Javascript, HTML5, CSS) and strong command over databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis).

- Experience with full software lifecycle methodology, including; coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

- Prior experience with Amazon Web Services would be preferred.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Ability to make quick decisions in high pressure environments with limited information
