Engineering Manager - Online/Internet

We are looking for strong technically hands on Engineering Manager.

The incumbent would be :

- Responsible for leading and managing software engineering and product development team

- Responsible for leading the resource loading, goal setting and measurement.

- Establish a collaborative environment with other local and international engineering teams.

- Support cross-team engineering initiatives

- Manage the overall software development process and team mentoring to routinely ship quality software-releases on schedule.

- Responsible for technical and management review of projects The incumbent will be in driving seat for innovation and delivery in various exciting tech opportunities.

Specifically, we are significantly increasing our tech-investments in :

a) Big-data Analytics and Data-Science

b) Mobile o Cloud computing

c) International growth and inorganic expansion

d) Scaling up capacity and sub-second performance Success Indicators

- Setting the operational metrics and ensuring the team adheres to it

- Meeting the delivery timelines with adherence to the quality parameters

- Keen interest in technology innovations

- Achieving Operational excellence through :

a) Stability of product from customer point of view o Efficient and Extend-able new features. Satisfaction of internal users as well as customer

b) Reduction of time complexity of code.

e) Successful Implementation of strategic initiatives in process improvements, functional process automation, efficiency improvements

Desired Skills and Experience :

- 7 years + experience in Software development

- Is strong on Design and programming

- Must haves: strong in Java, J2ee, Spring MVC, Webservices, JSON, AJAX, Hibernate

- Must be strong in UML and design patterns, SQL, RDBMS

- Implementing and deploying quality products using Agile methodologies with opensource technologies like Java, J2EE, Maven, Tomcat, Hadoop, R, SAS, Mahout, Spring MVC, Webservices, and Hibernate
