Engineering Manager - eCommerce

One of our e-commerce client is looking for a hands-on engineering manager to lead the Integrations and extensions team. I&E team is responsible for new customer integrations as well as existing customer enhancements and stability.

We enable omni-channel retailers to maximize revenue growth and protect margins by rapidly analyzing, testing and deploying smart pricing, inventory and assortment strategies. Led by veterans from Amazon, Facebook, eBay, Adobe and McKinsey, we use advanced machine learning and real-time data analytics to drive strategic pricing decisions.

Top 100 omni-channel retailers such as Staples, Office Depot, Groupon, Quill, US AutoParts are using our platform today and realize $20M in incremental revenue and $9M in incremental margins for every $1B in revenue they run through our platform.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Manage the day to day operation of all retail customer integrations

- Ensure account stability and daily customer deliverables are met without any SLA breaches

- Ensure on-call cadence is maintained and all P0 issues are addressed on priority

- Plan and deliver on new customer pilot and steady-state implementation

- Sprint planning and execution: Ensure sprint is planned on time and daily standups are conducted for delivering on the plan

- Build a metrics-driven culture, measure everything

- Deep dive and review design and implementation of all features and extensions including code reviews

- People management and driving the company culture

Desired skills for this role :

- BS in Computer Science or related field with 7-10 years of experience

- 3-5 years of hands on software development background

- Good knowledge of Java or any OO programming language

- 3-5 years managing a team of 7-10 engineers

- Good understanding of client server architecture and ETL pipelines

- Understanding of AWS architecture, microservice and distributed systems is a plus

- Experience on workflow management tools like Azkaban, Oozie, Jenkins is desirable

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, should have worked with client facing teams in the past. Should have the ability to collaborate with multiple teams with in engineering to deliver results.

- Good problem solving skills, ability to understand the larger picture. Should be a go-getter with very little need for guidance
