Specifically, you will:

- Have direct impact and influence over a dynamic, fast moving business with a hands-on approach, balancing business necessity with technical excellence; equally comfortable digging in to business requirements as drilling into architectural design with development teams

- Be a technical guardian of world-class user experience for your deliverables: continually raise the bar on functionality, flow, consistency, usability, and simplicity

- Build and mentor a team of high performance top-notch software engineers

- Establish a solid project framework and excellent development processes

- Be a champion of engineering excellence: establish metrics for measurement of engineering excellence and a process for regular assessment and improvement

Basic Qualifications

- BS in Computer Science or related discipline

- 7+ years' experience in software development

- 4+ years’ experience with managing a software development team

- Technical expertise including fluency in Java programming language, Databases and Java enterprise development

- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

- Experience shipping one or more large-scale, highly available internet applications, client-server programming, load balancing, network security, and internet protocols

- Experience taking a lead role in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered

Preferred Qualifications

- MS in Computer Science or related discipline

- E-commerce development experience

- Mobile development experience e.g. Android applications, iOS applications, Windows, etc.

- Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

- Experience mentoring a team of highly talented software engineers
