Engineering Head - Aerospace & Defence

We are looking for someone having 10+ years in Precision/Aerospace industry.

Should be able to read CAM Drawings

Job Location : Bangalore (looking for Bangalore based candidates only)

CTC : Upto 45 lpa (current CTC should not less than 25 lpa)

- 15-20 years proven experience in the field of manufacturing of aerospace & defence. Knowledge of Machining aluminum, hard metals & exotic materials. Special processes, CAD & CAM, Tool design, Tooling shop support, Configuration, Manufacturing process design and Documentation

Requirements:

- Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes for the production of aerospace components or products.

- Work closely with design engineers and ensure that the manufacturing processes are compatible with the designspecifications.

- Continually analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement by using production data like FTR, OTD, QC issues, Fixtures and Cycle time.

- Collaborate with tooling engineers and suppliers to select the appropriate equipment, machinery, and tools needed for efficient and reliable manufacturing processes considering factors such as cost, capability, reliability, and technological advancements.

- Create and maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process flow diagrams.

- Experience in implementation / interaction of MES software for seamless production operation.

- Experience in manufacturing high precision parts for Aerospace & Defence customers.

- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen and lead or contribute to cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, implement changes, and monitor their effectiveness.

- Work closely with quality team to ensure that manufacturing processes meet the required quality standards and specifications.

Training and Support: Manufacturing Process Engineers provide training and technical support to manufacturing personnel. They help operators understand and execute the established processes correctly and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.

- Focuses on developing and optimizing manufacturing processes to achieve operational excellence, improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality in the aerospace manufacturing industry.

- Guide Tooling and Fixture Design Engineers in designing and developing various types of tools that may include designing molds, dies, cutting tools, and develop customized tooling and fixture solutions to meet the unique needs of the manufacturing processes and ensure efficient and precise operations.
