Role Purpose -
- Mix of management and SME role - the candidate is expected to manage the analytical team and multiple advanced analytical projects to address business problems in a highly competitive environment
- With the understanding of mathematical/statistical/econometric models provide innovative solutions to solve complex business problems and manage stakeholders/clients with minimal support from the team
- This role will involve direct interaction and communication with internal business stakeholders in different Business Units and external clients and hence demands excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
- This role involves multi-tasking and the candidate is expected to work on multiple projects at different project life cycle stages at the same time.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing the predictive modeling, marketing mix optimization and other analytics projects from end-to-end
- Work with analysts and consultants to prepare analytical datasets for downstream analysis and modeling
- Report writing and modeling (mathematical / statistical / econometrical as per project needs) and presentation of analysis findings as PowerPoint deck with good articulation of research findings and with recommendations from business perspective
- Direct client interactions to understand business pain points and data availability to propose suitable analytical solutions
- Should communicate complex statistical methodologies & findings to the stakeholders in an as easy understand language
- Good project management experience covering project planning, effort estimation, project tracking, project execution etc.
- Review the work performed by team members and suggest required changes for improvement or as per project requirements
- Breakdown complex, large analytical projects into manageable chunks and delegate the tasks to team members based on their skillsets and expertise
- Develop SOP for different analytical offerings being delivered, which are repetitive in nature
- Be a strong team player, who is willing to share/train and learn from others as the job requires close collaboration with multiple stakeholders and other team members
- Support presales and sales initiatives in the areas of analytical projects, where expertise is available
Education, Skills, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:
- Education: Postgraduate or Doctorate in quantitative sciences (Masters or Doctorate in Economics / Econometrics / Statistics / Operations Research / Mathematics / Data Mining / Agricultural Economics etc)
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in predictive analytics (Promotional ROI, Promomix, resource optimization, Targeting & segmentation, Territory Alignment, etc.).
- Pharma experience will be a plus.
- Must have managed teams in the past and must have experience in dealing with large volume of data using analytics tools like SAS, SPSS, R, Python.
- Good Analytical project management experience covering project scoping, planning, effort estimation, tracking, execution, escalation management etc.
