General Manager, Business Development (LED Lighting) will be responsible for the sales and business development strategy, setting the sales targets and will spearhead the sales activities for the LED Lighting Solutions division. Other responsibilities include motivation of sales workforce, lead generation, pre-feasibility proposals with financial modeling, closure of orders with clients along with financial closure and most importantly achieving the quarterly targets.

The main areas of focus of the General Manager will be on the following verticals:

LED LIGHTING SOLUTIONS

a. Institutional Sales (B2B)

b. Small Projects (B2C)

c. Government Projects & Tenders

d. Retail Sales and Distribution channel growth

ATTRIBUTES

1. Should have worked in lighting industry in the past 2 years.

2. Domain knowledge in lighting industry with current information on products and technologies.

3. Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options.

4. Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.

5. Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.

6. To ensure that clients relationship by timely delivery and follow up on payments as per the sales contracts.

COLLABORATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To work directly with the CEO to develop and spearhead the sales strategy for the Lighting division.

2. To coordinate with the product development team and give market feedback for new products development and improvements on existing products

3. To liaise with design engineers and pre-sales teams to ensure the right solutions while sending out quotations.

4. To liaise with execution team to ensure right implementation and adhering to delivery schedules.

3. Meeting Sales Goals, Negotiation, Selling to Customer Needs

4. Experience in tendering and bidding

5. Motivation for Sales Planning, Managing Processes and heading sales activities
