The group consists of tenured statisticians with 50+ years of combined experience and come from reputed schools and pedigree.  Encore plans to setup a Decision Science group extension out of Gurgaon, India to develop strategies for both US domestic opportunities and international partners as the company expands its footprint geographically. This position would partner with statisticians working on Portfolio Acquisitions and Operations, including call center, direct mail, and legal collections, to lead the development and implementation of score-based and logic-based collections practices. The person in this role should be equally comfortable discussing the academic merits of a statistical approach or the ways in which a forecasting model will impact a business channel's revenue and cost expectations.  The role will require a high level of collaboration with operations and would require the incumbent to summarize valuable findings and proactively present the data to the call center teams helping them with their dynamic dialing strategies. The incumbent would be required to build business acumen through targeted interaction with colleagues in operations and active participation in analytical and project meetings  Responsibilities  - Providing high-quality statistical modeling support for operational and experimental projects  - Working closely with analysts and managers across the company during the development and implementation of statistical, score-based, and empirical models  - Collecting, organizing, and analyzing a wide variety of data to support modeling and operational work  - Over time, become an expert in Encore's business model and approach
