It purchases defaulted consumer loans from major banks, credit unions, and utility providers and works directly with consumers as they repay their obligations. Encore currently has operations and investments in 17 countries. This position will manage and coordinate the legal &amp; CS affairs for our business facilities in Gurgaon, India. This position will also be responsible to provide advice on legal issues concerning corporate governance, ethics, contracts, and employment related issues. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and enforce legal policies and procedures and in managing teams. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES : - To assist in the day-to-day legal support through individual and team contributions and through effective management of external and internal legal resources to ensure that the Company is compliant with all applicable laws. - To partner with internal teams to assist with making effective improvements in the business processes, training, policies, and procedures, that are related to legal issues. - To negotiates, drafts and prepares contracts and other legal documents. Author correspondence, legal memoranda, and reports. - To assist with investigations, providing responses to government agencies, regulators, and litigation support. - Assist with corporate governance and the corporate secretary function, including preparation of materials for board of directors and committee meetings in India. REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE - LLB from a reputed institute in India and having membership of the Institute of Company Secretaries (CS) of India -&nbsp;8+ years post qualification of experience in an organization of repute - Excellent legal contract drafting &amp; advisory skills, Ability to manage board level presentations &amp; directives - Advanced written and oral communication - Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and interact effectively at all levels of the organization while exercising sound judgment, self-confidence, and respect for others - Ability to identify and articulate practical legal solutions in a useful and easily understood manner while partnering with the client to ensure successful implementation Apply only if : - You prefer exposure to an early startup environment- being part of a fast-paced setup - You can work in a non-silo environment- nascent processes and structures - You can roll up your sleeves and contribute to the organization's success without any ambiguity
