COMPANY: Leading FMCG Organization

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

- The Company is setting up its 2nd food manufacturing Plant at SriCity, AP. The role holders primary responsibility will be to project manage the entire recruitment & training effort to ensure that the plant “Goes Alive” OTIF. Post go live the job holders responsibility will be to deliver on all agreed key HR and administrative goals to ensure that this facility stabilizes & continues to run in an IR stable environment

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

- Reporting to Plant Manager & functionally into HR Director

- Reporting to this position- ER Executive (Payroll & Admin)

- Peers include Line leaders in other functions like Production, QA, Logistics etc

- External contacts e.g. Search consultants, HR external consultants, SriCity Officials, Payroll agents, Legal representatives, Insurance brokers, government agencies etc.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The SriCity location is a Greenfield project and this position will be expected to drive HR processes during the project stage. The incumbent will be expected to set processes and systems for start-up of the HR function in the Plant which will include recruitment, contract management and strong support of HR and Employee Facility Services to the Project Team.

The incumbent will be responsible to effectively manage Human Relations and for implementation of all HR practices at Plant

- Lead all factory compliances and ensure adherence of labor-related laws and regulations

- Draw out and implement systems and processes to manage contract workmen and their compliances during the project phase. Ensure regular compliance audits and MIS reports to the factory management team.

- Ensure build-up of a cohesive organization through effective recruitment, on boarding and induction processes. Meet the Recruitment numbers and maintain them for crew On Time In Full and ensure the right person for the right job at a right price by working closely with line managers

- Build up liaison with local HR Managers/HR Forums, Government Officials. Liaise with the external environment to understand and implement relevant HR practices and ensure a positive and collaborative working environment through effective team-building and employee engagement activities.

- Ensure a highly engaged and skilled work force through imparting behavioral and functional training interventions

- Formulating and implementing the training calendar focused on strengthening Kellogg culture via strengthening understanding of KBLM & K Values and living them

- Implementation of the skill matrix and such functional skilling for plant employees.

- Lead role in training administration and judging efficiency and efficacy of training

- Ensure that via proactive steps workforce maintain peace, production and harmony. Engage with crew representatives to build environment of trust and openness

- Lead the employee services related processes like Canteen, Transport, Uniform Management, Security etc. Effectively manage common facility services through self managed teams/committees. Organize periodic meetings and facilitate actions to enhance services.

- Manage grievance handling and redressal cell

- Enhance Communication as an engagement strategy.

- If applicable in future, participate in negotiations with Union, Industrial court matters, Conciliation proceedings or any such process covered under Labor laws

- Participating in Region cum Industry compensation benchmarking surveys for skilled technicians and propose appropriate recommendations to management

- Responsible for Effective Pay roll Processing

- Ensure effective implementation of Performance Management System and integrating training and developmental plans with Performance management

- Responsible for the effective and efficient HR administration by proactively establishing policy frameworks to add value and strengthen the current system/process.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

- Based at SriCity Plant, Andhra Pradesh, India. (1.5 hr from North Chennai)

- Covers Human Resources and Employee Services for Plant workforce.

- Work closely with internal and external HR professional e.g. search consultants for recruitment and salary survey consultants for compensation-related matters, HR/legal/Labour consultants for ensuring statutory compliances

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- A university degree holder

- Post graduate in HRM

- 6-8 years of Plant HR experience in a Managerial role

- Communicate effectively in English/Tamil/Telugu (oral and written communication).

- Excellent interpersonal skills and networking.

- Possess grounding in Kellogg’s Values and Kellogg Business Leader Model.
