Emplay - Director - Advanced Analytics

Looking for a go-getter advanced analytics delivery manager with 8-10 years experience for a promising analytics product start-up.

We are an award winning 3 year old start-up with a vision to build and implement a comprehensive GPS like analytical sales recommendation engine.

We are headquartered in California and have recently set up an office in India. India team size of 12 and we are looking to rapidly grow this team. Next year, our plan is to grow 3-4 times our current size based on business forecast.

This role will be a multi-faceted role comprising analytics solution development, project management, people management and client management

It is a dynamic entrepreneurial role demanding time, energy and solid commitment to handle P&L responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities :

Business analytics solution development for sales and marketing.

- You should have a solid understanding of sales and marketing domain and be able to develop decision support systems using machine learning algorithms.

Project management :

- You should have proven experience in owning end to end responsibility of project delivery - business analysis, project planning, day to day to project tracking, making customer presentation and ongoing communication for advanced analytics projects.

People management and change leadership :

- You should have managed a team of at least 10-15 statistical analysts and have experience in hiring, training and motivating your team.

You should exemplify work ethics and inspire all. You should be able to promote a culture of professionalism in the team you inherit and hire.

Technical skills Required :

- Hands on experience in designing and developing advanced analytics solutions.

- Expert level knowledge of machine learning algorithms

- Expertise in R, SAS or Python programming.

Business skills :

- Domain experience in sales/marketing

- Client advisory and client management

Professional skills :

- Project management

- Team management

Education and Employment profile :

- Bachelors or masters degree in engineering, statistics or mathematics.

- MBA is preferred but optional for seasoned business professionals.

- Client management experience is greatly valued
