ROLE &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES : Data Analysis : - Work with management to prioritize business and information needs and propose solutions and strategies to business challenges - Analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports - Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and undertake pre-processing of structured and unstructured data - Clean data by reviewing performance indicators to locate and correct code problems - Create and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality Data Management : - Analyze structural requirements and advise data architecture for new software and applications development by collaborating with engineering and product development teams - Locate and define new process improvement opportunities and identify valuable data sources to automate collection processes - Where essential propose migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions Data Modelling &amp; Security : - Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts Present information using data visualization techniques - Ensure customer data is secured, clean and regularly maintained - provide recommendations to businesses on data governance and audit regularly - help resolve quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement strategies - Help manage Emaar customer database, across all business units, including defining what data to be collected at what touch point, and the associated business rules/ requirements - Conduct knowledge discovery and generate insights from customer data using statistical tools - use a proactive approach to identify where insights can drive value in businesses - Communicate insights to various businesses, through leadership engagement, business workshops, and other forms of stakeholder engagement - Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE : - B.Tech or Masters in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Information Technology or equivalent - Experience in the range of 6-10 years. - Proven work experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist or similar role - Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques - Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc.), databases (SQL etc.) and programming skills (XML, R, JavaScript, Python). Scala, Java, and C++ will be an asset. - Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.) - Experience using business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, D3.js, and Power BI) and data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, Azure Data warehouse, AWS Redshift, etc- ) - Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy CAREER GROWTH : Emaar has a well-laid career framework for the Senior Data Scientist position.
