Regional Sales Manager - West Bengal
Position Overview:
As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving sales activities in the West Bengal region for Elite Foods Pvt Ltd. You will lead a team of sales professionals and work closely with distributors, retailers, and other stakeholders to achieve sales targets, expand market share, and build strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:A. Sales Strategy and Planning:- Develop and implement the sales strategy for the West Bengal region, aligning it with the company's overall sales objectives.
- Set sales targets and objectives for the region, ensuring they are challenging yet achievable.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities, customer needs, and competitive trends.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales and promotional campaigns.
B. Team Management and Development:- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team across different territories within West Bengal.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to the sales team to enhance their skills, product knowledge, and selling techniques.
- Set performance targets and conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Foster a positive and motivating work environment, promoting teamwork, collaboration, and a customer-centric approach.
C. Sales Operations:- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, wholesalers, and retailers in the region.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure effective distribution and availability of products across the region, working closely with Depot and Logistics teams.
- Manage sales budgets, expenses, and resource allocation to optimize productivity and achieve profitability goals.
D. Customer Relationship Management:- Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs, addressing their concerns, and providing excellent customer service.
- Conduct regular market visits, customer meetings, and sales presentations to establish rapport and drive business growth.
- Resolve escalated customer issues and complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner, coordinating with relevant internal departments as needed.
E. Reporting and Analysis:- Prepare regular sales reports, performance dashboards, and forecasts, providing accurate and timely information to senior management.
- Analyze sales data and market insights to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks, recommending appropriate actions to optimize sales performance.
