eLearning Expert - Information & Communication Technology Courses - Contractual Role

Key Accountabilities:

- Design a strategic plan and road map to leverage the potential of Information and Communication Technology(ICT) in teaching and learning process for the benefit of all the learners in educational institutions in anytime anywhere mode in the State, in conjunction with relevant stakeholders in the Department (Principal Secretary, Secretaries etc.) and related functionaries

Provide the required guidance and support to the Department in designing and developing dynamic and innovative instructional courses and simulations to create interactive, engaging course content for the learners

- Conduct research and provide insights and perspective to ensure the incorporation of best practices and latest trends/technologies in the relevant domains.

- Establish and build partnerships with important and relevant national-level bodies and organizations like the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), National Council for Education Research and Training (NCERT), and National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL)etc.

- Design capacity building programs/sessions, Provide guidance and support to the Department/team in the relevant domain

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's degree or higher (full time) in Computer Science / Electronics Engineering / Information Technology OR Master's degree (full time) in Computer Application

- Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience in the education sector

Preferred

- Less than 65 years of age as on 1st January 2020.

- Experience in designing and developing instructional courses/simulations/training methodologies / implementing online or software-based courses with public/private / government bodies/institutes (such as AICTE / NCERT / State education boards etc.)

- Experience in a leadership / advisory role in planning and implementing large scale e-learning, tele education projects like NPTEL etc.

- Proven track record of managing/advising/working on education-related projects/programs /initiatives in state / central government organizations / bilateral/multilateral organizations (such as NPTEL, MHRD, World Bank, DFID, UNDP, ADB, etc.) in the domain of e-learning curriculum design/training methodologies

- Certificates / Courses in relevant areas will add weight to the candidature

- Honors / Awards in a relevant area will be an added advantage
