Ekya Schools - Manager - Public Relations

Job Description:

The Public Relations Manager will act as the face of our organization, managing communications in both directions. This professional will be responsible for enhancing the Ekya brand image, managing press relations, executing our communications strategy, organizing PR events, and serving as the bridge between Ekya Schools, the media, and the public.

Responsibilities:

- Develop a public relations plan, including strategy, goals, budget, and tactics.

- Develop a media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast, and online media.

- Coordinate all public relations activities and events.

- Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within education and industry media.

- Manage media inquiries and interview requests.

- Create content for press releases, authored articles, and industry-related stories.

- Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis.

- Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising on an ongoing basis.

- Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness.

- Maintain a keen understanding of education industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.

- Participation in awards and recognition for the organization and founder

Qualifications:

- Proven working experience in public relations is required, preferably in the education sector.

- Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and national level.

- Strong relationships with both local and national education and industry media outlets.

- Exceptional writing and editing skills.

- Solid experience in influencer marketing

- Event planning experience.

- BA/MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Journalism or a related discipline.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
