EHS Manager - FMCG

Responsible for EHS function at remote location plant, candidate should be able to stay within 5 KMs of Plant.

The Environment, Health and Safety Manager (EHS Manager) is responsible for the development, implementation & continuous improvement of Environmental, Health and Safety management systems.

EHS Manager reports directly to the Plant Superintendent (Factory Manager) at the location, but also has a reporting line to the Foods India BU EHS Manager

EDUCATION

- Engineering background with Safety Diploma

- Six years + experience in EHS positions

Competences & Soft Skills

- Describe the skills needed by an individual to complete the tasks in this position.

Knowledge of:

- Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems

- Food and Feed Safety legislation

- Health-, Safety- and Environmental legislation

- Experience in production/processing environment

- Local and English language, verbal and written

Skills:

- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

- Analytical thinking

- Training skills

- Problem solving capabilities

- Thinking in risk terms

- Motivator and Team player

- Capabilities to grow to BU EHS Manager

- Willing and capable to follow external training for legal qualifications.
