Job brief

We are looking for a numbers-driven, analytical and hands-on Head of Sales with a proven track record of scaling up success in the Indian urban market. The Head of Sales will be responsible for leading and managing EdTerra's sales operations to achieve business goals and maximize profitability. As the leader and center of excellence for our sales and business development efforts, your duties also include guiding the sales team in all key markets, establishing relationships with existing clients and new client schools, setting performance objectives for the sales department, evaluating and optimizing sales processes and ensuring collection of feedback from the markets and sales team members for tactical and strategic planning.

This is a P&L based business development role. We are looking for a high performing business leader with more than 15 years of experience in B2B or institutional sales professional and an entrepreneurial mindset. The candidate would be required to understand the student education travel business with a view to manage, strategise, and implement sales generation and sales management initiatives while always aligning them with EdTerra's business goals.

Our ideal candidates should have a solid foundation of profitability reporting, team management, B2B sales processes, pipeline management from previous corporate experience. You will communicate with the CEO, MD to create and implement your business expansion, manpower and marketing strategy.

Responsibilities :

- Achieving business goals and revenue targets by aligning the annual business plan and long term vision with the sales calendar, key customer management and key markets.

- Overseeing daily operations, managing budgets, and setting performance objectives.

- Recruiting, training, and supporting regional/area managers as well as conducting regular performance appraisals.

- Developing and implementing business, sales and marketing plans.

- Managing internal and external stakeholder relations and negotiating contracts.

- Planning, evaluating, and optimizing sales processes to be efficient and cost-effective.

- Ensuring products and services comply with regulatory and quality standards.

- Ensuring company standards and procedures are followed.

- Preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, analyses, and reports of operations and finances.

- Dealing with escalated customer issues, incident reports, and legal actions.

Requirements:

- Undergraduate degree in business administration, management, or a similar field preferred.

- 15 years of B2B sales management experience and minimum 3 years of management and leadership experience.

- Existing relationships with A Category CBSE and ICSE schools in India would be an advantage.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with CRM systems, and project management tools.

- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.

- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Remuneration

An offer will be made directly to the shortlisted candidates based on the caliber and experience level.

Work Timings

8.30 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday and 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays.

Office remains closed on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays and on Sundays every month.
