The Editor/Thematic Research person is a member of the India Centre of Excellence (CoE) team functionally aligned to the Head of Macro & Next Generation in Switzerland. The role is part of the established CoE, which provides value-added services in areas of editing and financial research.

The Editor/Thematic Research person is responsible to publish flagship publications and helping develop thematic research themes.

The main tasks include:

- Editing and publishing research flagship publications (e.g. Wire, Research Weekly) as well as other cross-asset formats (e.g. Financial Market Outlook), in close collaboration with the broader Research team

- Prepare and publish thematic reports in coordination with the Economics and Next Generation Research team that cover specific themes in a timely manner.

- The output is the publication of flagship products on all communication channels (BSI, research pool, app etc) as well the compilation of research reports in the context of Next Generation research.

- The main tools are the Research pool, the publication tools for the publication-related functions as well.

- To be successful in the role, the incumbent will need to be able to work with precision under time pressure, being diligent, analytical and able to put complex facts into understandable language.

- The role reports administratively to the Location Manager of the CoE and functionally to the Head of Macro & Next Generation based in Switzerland.

- Work to fulfil the ambitions of the team defined by the functional and administrative supervisors.

- Regular review of the function's practices to ensure efficiency and productivity are kept at optimal levels.

- Meet all legal, regulatory and compliance standards/requirements (esp. independent financial Research)

- Adhere to all relevant Local User Manuals

- Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:

Personal and Social:

- Able to work independently and in a global team setup to take on initiatives with a positive attitude

- Attention to the detail

- Client-centric approach for all deliverables

- Able to quickly troubleshoot problems and provide effective solutions

- Fast learner and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines

- Good communication/coordination skills to deal with different levels of stakeholders

- Highly motivated with integrative personality

Professional and Technical:

- Being able to use the most common software tools (MS office, content management tools etc)

- Represent the Bank's and shareholders' interests at all times

- Language Skills: Fluency in English (oral and written)
