Location : Mumbai


Business : Distressed Assets Resolution Business, Edelweiss Asset Reconstruction Company Ltd

Position reporting to : CRO (Chief Restructuring / Turnaround Officer) / ACRO (Assistant Chief Restructuring Officer)

Key Responsibilities:

Functional Responsibilities :

- Develop, review and validate complex financial models to project P&L and cash flows for portfolio companies across industries, by analyzing and correlating key business drivers for cost as well as revenue

- Review data across production, sales, procurement, vendor management etc.; identify interdependencies, understand and highlight risks and suggest probable mitigation strategies, build sensitivity and scenario analysis into the models

- Set operating targets as well as financial budgets for the company, develop MIS / dashboards to track their performance on daily / weekly / monthly basis

- Conduct regular reviews for detailed variance analysis, identify controllable vs. non-controllable factors and accordingly design performance improvement opportunities

- Evaluate non controllable factors such as adverse market movement in raw material prices / availability, changing demand of products etc. and provide recommendations based on primary and secondary research to establish the risks involved and the review of the organizational plans to respond to the same

- Business case evaluation and recommendations for key decision making processes of the company which can have substantial impact on working capital / EBITDA. For eg., make vs buy decisions, higher cost vs. better credit term for purchase etc.

- Drive performance improvement across revenue enhancement, fixed / variable cost reduction and working capital optimization

- Provide regular updates to senior management and key stakeholders on the financial and operating health of the company and future course correction required if any

- Analyse data, understand market trends, derive meaningful insights and provide valuable inputs to and manage relationships with key stakeholders both within Edelweiss and the portfolio company

- Help the deal team with deal evaluation including running due diligence and cash flow forecasting

Job Requirements:

Qualifications :

B. Tech / B. Com/ CA + PGDM / MBA (full time) from Tier 1 institutions

Experience :3-7 years

Functional Competencies :

- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel and Power Point. Ability to write macros / VBA script will be desirable

- Excellent verbal as well as written communication skills

- Understanding of cash flow, working capital management with prior experience in financial modeling (experience in building model for a manufacturing set up desirable)

- Experience of turnaround of stressed assets / performance improvement is preferred

- Basic understanding of ERP like SAP, Oracle, Hyperion etc. will be a plus

Behavioral Competencies - Ability to think out of the box / design thinking

- Stakeholder management and people influencing skills

- Ability to understand the business model, grasp the complexities and convert into a financial model

- Ability to synthesize the problem and break it down into simple manageable pieces

- Multitasking, ability to work on multiple projects

- Demonstrated problem-solving skills

- Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time, including to various plant locations
