Job Purpose - The role is primarily responsible for leading, guiding and ensuring the timely preparation and reporting of financial statements/results for entities within the group. - The role is also responsible for leading the transition to IND AS w.e.f. April 1, 2018, by disseminating the IND AS knowledge and key changes based on impact assessment study and providing guidance to various business support groups which are handling transactional accounting for business verticals. - Partner the business team and risk team to handle any regulatory and other matter of Finance. Key Responsibilities Managerial Responsibilities - Set goals and expectations for the team and monitor their performance - Develop the team through constant training and working methodologies Functional Responsibilities - Facilitating the Limited review of the financial statements of the Company in pursuance of the debenture listing agreement with BSE/NSE - Monthly closing of books of accounts: Provision for expenses, Identification of Non Performing Assets, Verification of accounting closure by treasury operations, central operations and other teams - Preparation of various reports to provide responses to notice and inspection queries raised by any regulator - Analytical review - Lead the transition and conversion of financial statements from IGAAP to IND AS - Partner with business in new product launch or biz evaluation. - Tax advisory and compliance. - Ensure objective fair valuation of the various asset classes within the IND AS framework - Guiding implementation of enhancements in business application software(s), handling new business implementations, process and design enhancement and ad-hoc analysis Job Requirements Qualifications Chartered Accountant Experience CA with a minimum experience of 10 years experience with &gt; 5 years in Financial Services (BFSI) industry and/or Big 4 Auditing Firms servicing Financial Services firms (Banks / NBFCs) Functional Competencies - Ideal candidate should have the good understanding and practical knowledge of IGAAP principles and extensive practical experience of IFRS/US GAAP. He should have worked on IFRS / IndAS conversion and advisory projects. - Knoweldge of Asset management and treasury products - Experience in operating ERP environment like Oracle Financials or SAP preferred. - Proficient in MS Excel with advanced features and analytics. - Basic knowledge of tax regulation (Direct and Indirect). Behavioral Competencies - Ability to think laterally, understand the groups varied businesses and influence people for enabling the transition from IGAAP to IND AS - Demonstrated excellent leadership, project management and interpersonal skills. - Innovative thinking and willingness to challenge the status quo - Excellent communication and presentation skills Key Interactions Internal Nature or purpose of interaction Business teams and operations teams, Compliance and Governance - To gain in depth understanding of the financial products and transaction dealt with by Business so as to give correct representation in the financials, income recognition etc. - For regulatory compliance - Business advisory External Nature or purpose of interaction Statutory & Internal Auditors - To get the financial statements audited by the statutory auditors - To ensure that adequate internal controls are in place and are in sync with the corporate policies
