Key Responsibilities : Managerial Responsibilities : - Develop business intelligence and analytics capabilities to drive business decisions based on actionable insights - Manage internal client relationships, proactively identify and pursue new project opportunities - Manage stakeholders, ensure timely and qualitative communication, facilitate analytics workshops and internal client sessions, conduct coaching/training - Assign workload to team members and oversee daily activities of analytics projects - Assist in recruitment, training, performance evaluation, retention and termination activities - Leverage professional networks to attain critical resources Functional Responsibilities : Data Analysis : - Collaborate with various departments to collect business data to complete timely analysis - Take ownership of data extraction, processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis - Design, develop, and deploy KPI goals and dashboards, build data-based insights (qualitative and quantitative) to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of business and data processes - Perform root cause analysis of potential problems and provide effective resolutions - Assess existing markets, ancillary markets, macro-economic trends, industry and competitive landscape in terms of analytics trends - Explore and stay current on industry best practices, bringing insights and ideas to help drive and shape future strategy and business planning; Identify key industry trends and how they impact the business / analytics &amp; data processes Operations &amp; Execution : - Design the business analytics framework &amp; roadmap (with specific focus on credit risk analytics for Corporate, SME and consumer lending), manage analytics projects and programs, including influencing and aligning stakeholders across senior management - Support business teams in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and education/training on processes and tools (in collaboration with central teams) - Serve as an internal analytics consultant to stakeholders across business groups and functions - Work with business teams to decide on dashboard design, sample size, analytics methods used, model testing criteria, etc. - Own the quality of Analytics deliverables including documentation - Lead the validation &amp; monitoring of model performance post its deployment - Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems Job Requirements : Qualifications - BS in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering MS Preferred - MBA degree or equivalent practical experience Experience : - 9-12 years of proven experience in analytics - Extensive knowledge of the finance industry, data / analytics vendor and partner ecosystem, with specific experience in credit risk analytics and developing risk scorecards towards corporate, SME and consumer lending leveraging bureau / alternative data with specific experience in developing application scorecards, collections / recovery scorecards, loss forecasting, Expected Credit Loss framework, cross sell / up sell models, foreclosure / retention scorecards Algorithm Experience : - Predictive modelling (linear regression, logistic regression) - Classification (decision trees) - Time-series forecasting - Association modelling/rules - Cluster Analysis, Principal Component Analysis - Random forest modelling - ANOVA, t-test, z-test, F-test, chi square test - Ensemble Methods - Neural networks - Natural Language Processing - Hands-on experience in Big data technologies &amp; analytics will be preferred - Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL tools and business intelligence concepts is required - 5+ Experience with BI Reporting Tools in enterprise environment is a good to have - 3+ Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau / PowerBI Functional Competencies : - Proficiency in data visualization applications like Tableau / PowerBI and scripting/programming languages - SQL/R/Python - Exposure to Hadoop / NoSQL databases preferred - Possess long-term strategic thinking balanced with near-term execution skills - Able to grasp key issues quickly, understand the big picture and link market insights to the issues at hand to provide guidance - Ability to drive work independently, comfortable with ambiguity and capable of taking actions without finalized scope - Ability to make quick and innovative decisions - Possess excellent analytical and business intelligence skills, mathematical &amp; statistical knowledge, and the ability to conduct detailed research in order to sum it up into reports that a layperson can understand - Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence business leaders, good networker and influencer, strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal &amp;
