Economist  We have been retained by our client a well established, professionally managed brokerage firm, part of multi-billion dollar group to identify an ECONOMIST for their securities business in India. The position is based at Mumbai.  Objective:  - Macroeconomic and financial research on the Indian economy.  - Formulate investment strategies and themes through macroeconomic and financial research.  Deliverables:  - Thematic research reports on macroeconomic issues.  - Coordination and discussion with country strategists, regional strategists, economic and sector analysts for investment strategies.  - Preparing investment publications.  - Keeping track of economic and financial market data.  Responsibilities:  - Tracking economic and policy trends in the Indian economy alongside deep econometric models for macroeconomic projections.  - Working independently on current themes of interest to markets and taking up research projects of the economics team through data gathering and modelling, analysis and presentation.  - Advising institutional clients on evolving macroeconomic scenario and resulting impact on different asset classes including equity, fixed income and FX.  - Prepare monthly reports on India Investment Strategy, Inflation Outlook, Foreign Trade Outlook and Industrial Production Outlook.   - Brief clients (including fund houses, foreign institutional investors and corporates) and other stakeholders on the medium to longer-term investment outlook in India based on fundamental analysis.   - Provide interface with other agencies including the press and media in communicating company’s view and estimates on future Indian economic outlook and also forward looking assessment of current economic situation.  Ideal candidates should be post graduates in Economics with 4-8 years of experience as an Economist with a bank or a brokerage firm.   Interested candidates meeting with the above requirements may please respond with a recent photograph and resume in word format
