Economist

This role is accountable for:

- Monitoring, analysing and forecasting aspects of the APAC economy

- Identifying interesting economic trends and writing or contributing to relevant and timely research reports that improve the penetration of the Australian Economics franchise with client base

- Maintaining a client service culture via marketing of views to internal and external clients and supporting other members of the team in their research and marketing

- Building productive and visible relationships with key internal stakeholders and external clients

- Role modelling company's values, behaviours and our aspirational culture

- Contributing to the Research team's agenda around new techniques with data

The 'must have' knowledge, skill and experience (KSE) the role requires are:

- A good understanding of the APAC (or a similar) economy

- Experience as an economist or strategist in the finance sector, government, credit rating agency, research institution or related field

- An effective communication style, both written and oral, and excellent technical skills

- High levels of initiative and problem-solving

- A collaborative work style that involves others in reaching end results

- Fluent in written and spoken English.
