Economic Analyst

Role & Responsibility :

- Building, updating and maintaining macro economic data bases and econometric models

- Compiling, analyzing and comparing macro economic indicators for country and city levels

- Work as a team (statisticians) to generate, verify and review analysis dataset specifications

- Guiding the data production team for their queries, training the team members for the project

- Analyzing and maintaining the quality of the data using the statistical tools

- Provide appropriate feedback and guidance to the team members on the QC done

- Improve the content knowledge of the team

- Need to communicate with internal and external clients with regard to project development

- Update all the daily/weekly trackers and help the manager in reaching team targets

- Answer customer data questions regarding data in area of expertise

- Work closely with Technology Teams to develop our working applications

Person Specification :

A minimum of 2-5 years relevant work experience in Experience in Macroeconomic research and Time series forecast

- Knowledge in software packages like MS Office(Excel), SAS Base/SQL, SPSS and Eviews

- Ability to work and deliver under pressure

- Should have an eye for details

- Should have strong analytical skills and the ability to think independently

- Strong communication skill both written and verbal.
