E-commerce Sales Head - at a platform looking to make a dent in a $120 BN/year Industry

Our Business: We provide a B2B platform for the $120 BN/year highly fragmented inefficient market of the real estate and construction industry by standardizing the processes and making it more efficient.

To create a transparent, efficient and seamless procurement experience for the industry offering the highest quality systems that create value for all stakeholders involved. Founder has 20+ years of experience in the industry across the US, Asia and India.

Looking for: An innovative and forward-thinking business leader who will work with the Founders to scale the tech powered procurement business for building materials

Who you are: A Management graduate in Sales and Marketing with more than 8-10 years enterprise sales experience in any of the building materials categories like cement, steel, capital equipment, electrical, sanitary ware etc. preferably from a manufacturing company background. Having e-commerce experience would be beneficial. You must also have:

- In depth understanding of purchasing and procurement processes of construction and real estate projects

- Must possess excellent leadership and negotiations skills - Ability to influence and interact with senior management

- Adaptable and flexible; responsive and resourceful in a fast-paced, quick turn business model

What you will do: The Ecommerce Sales Head is responsible for driving growth and development for the channel by strategically building relationships with contractors, developers, builders and other prospective commerce customers.

This role effectively develops and cross-functionally executes comprehensive online and offline sales and ecommerce business development plans. Following will be some of the job responsibilities:

- Understand and implement technology to make the procurement process highly efficient for our clients

- Develop relationships with client purchase managers to receive RFQs and leads and to effectively close transactions

- To understand pricing trends across various building material categories and develop pricing strategies

- Plan and map prospective transactions across categories and monitor the P2P process till closure - Build and manage a team to successfully scale BD initiatives and service customers effectively

- Work closely with the merchandising team to map the supply chain based on market demand across categories

- Pioneer and create new opportunities with ecommerce accounts, identifying white space and marketing opportunities to generate sales

- Build trust and foster a relationship to be recognized as a the most competitive ecommerce supplier across various building categories
