eCommerce product manager

We have 1 very urgent position in one of the best and established retail organisation

CTC : Negotiable, depending upon current CTC, experience, interview status etc.

Job Specification :

Product Content Management :

- Ensure the eCommerce website product/product listing pages have the most accurate, up to date, and representative product content to (a) drive better sales and (b) communicate the features and benefits effectively to the final consumer

The following product related content must always be updated, accurate :

- Product Features

- Style Notes/Descriptions

- MRP

- Size charts and care instructions

- Product images

- Product videos

- Colour swatches

Develop creative solutions on how to drive better sales and ensure better communication on the product pages in the following areas :

- Functional (Product content related)

- Aesthetic/Visual Merchandising

- Consumer engagement

- Commercial(Product related)

Product Marketing :

- Create, develop and implement integrated and structured product marketing campaigns

- Should be able to work closely and coordinate with the creative agency, offline marketing team and online marketing team on the development and implementation of the product marketing campaigns

- Should be able to create a launch schedule for the entire year, and plan implementation of the campaigns across all the online marketing mediums.

Product Department/ecommerce Department Coordination & alignment :

The product manager should work closely with the product design/development department on the following :

- Attend the range presentation meetings every season and obtain updated collection plans for the season at the range presentation meeting

- Obtain updated product features at the range presentation meeting

- Obtain updated packaging shoot images as per the season

- Obtain new colour swatches as per the season

- Create new style notes according to product updates for the season

- The product manager should then collect and conduct a handover meeting with these relevant above documents to the ecommerce team after range presentation.

- He/she must ensure that when the new seasonal product reaches the ecommerce warehouse that all the new content is accurate and will be 100% ready to be uploaded to the website immediately to avoid loss of time.

Analysis And Insights :

For better decision making, the product manager will be required to work closely with a qualified MIS expert and continuously lead him/her to obtain and analyse the following data :

- Top 10 High/Low selling styles

- Style movement and growth analysis across sub categories

- Silhouette(product type) movement and growth analysis within the sub categories

- Collection movement and Growth analysis within sub categories

- Sub category movement and growth analysis

- Colour movement and growth analysis

- Product Event Tracking with reasons

- Conversion ratio

- Bounce rates

- Channels leading to sales

- Consumer product ratings

Based on the analysis, the Product Manager must derive relevant consumer insights and derive practical and logical suggestions on how to improve sales and brand presence :

- Reasons for high selling styles and low selling styles

- Justify necessity to drop various styles and colours from website

- Provide suggestions for the optimum style/colour mix

- Cross reference EBO(offline) data against online data to generate consumer insights and understanding

- Discuss means and ways on how to improve visual, factual, promotional or functional product related content to drive sales

- Provide suggestions to ecommerce marketing team on which styles and collections to promote and justification as to why

Effective Buying & Stock Planning :

- Should be able to create a monthly sales forecast for each product for the entire year

In order to ensure the most optimum inventory/product mix for the website and warehouse, product manager should make suggestions on :

- What to order from the main warehouse

- What not to order from the main warehouse

- When to order from the main warehouse

- How much to order from the main warehouse

Online Key Accounts Product Management :

In addition to all above roles for own ecommerce website, will be expected to do the following :

- Ensure the key account website product/product listing pages have the most accurate, up to date, and representative content for all of our products

- Focus and work with key accounts to generate an optimum inventory/product mix for best brand presentation and to maximize sales

- Provide relevant product insights on how key accounts can improve sales and brand presence with CLIENT

- Obtain regular product and quality feedback and communicate internally to relevant teams

- Partner with key accounts on tactical product campaigns for their websites to boost sales of CLIENT on website

- Conduct range presentations and line presentations to buyers in online key accounts

- Continuously train and educate key accounts on all product related points and create awareness of product features and benefits/USP which are offered by CLIENT over competition

- Work towards moving them to - proposition selling- to consumers rather than - item selling- to help communicate product stories better to consumers

- Create an internal estimated monthly sales forecast for each product for the entire year for each key account to monitor their performance and set internal targets

Skills and Expertise :

- Need to have a product design/development education.

- Need to have some product technical knowledge.

- Should know the brand and the products before interview ( as per discussion with recruitment manager )

- Should have good aesthetic sense

- Passionate about products and should be a product advocate

- Hindi and English required.

- Product management/category management experience required, ecommerce not required but helpful.

- Excellent analytical skills.

- Good read on consumer insights.

- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.

- Excellent presentation skills.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Proactive work culture.

Requirement :

- From Ecommerce organizations / relevant profiles handling ecommerce segment of retail organizations.
