Ebreez - eCommerce Data Analyst - Travel Domain

Our in-house eCommerce team design, develop, test, support and maintain all of our websites, and are responsible for keeping them fresh and updated with the most cutting edge functionality, to give the very best user experience. Our Data team supports the business by analysing a variety of data relating to the back end of our ecommerce websites. We do everything from understanding customer behaviour on the sites, analysing website usage, measuring the performance of the sites to detecting fraudulent use of the sites. We analyse huge amounts of data, providing management information and reporting to stakeholders across the business.

The Data Analyst role is responsible for conducting data analysis, then developing and producing reports and business intelligence based on regular and ad hoc requests, engaging with internal customers to understand requirements and producing reports to meet these needs, using a range of tools, predominantly using Excel.

Key Responsibilities

- Solving data problems to support an automated Business Intelligence platform.

- Providing support to a diverse range of users in the context of Business Intelligence and Reporting.

- Creating answers to commercial questions posed by the business, solving problems and delivering valuable, useable insight via provision of high quality data analytics.

- Providing scheduled and ad-hoc reports to stakeholders across the business, minimising amount of manual work required.

- Developing new reports to help the user base self-serve within the Business Intelligence platform.

- Providing insight from the wide variety of data sources available from a travel industry environment.

- Supporting the Data team across a variety of functions including Fraud, User Experience and Web Analytics.

- Working on a program of constant improvements to the existing Business Intelligence system.

- Picking up on exceptions within the systems in scope and reacting to them in a timely fashion.

- Being the go to person for technical, data and reporting questions.

- Being fast moving and agile in approach to work and to personal development, able to evolve into new technologies as they appear.

- Developing others thereby evolving the use of data technologies within the business.

- Undertaking work that is accurate and consistent at all times.

What we are looking for

- Strong experience in a data analysis and reporting role, ideally with travel domain knowledge.

- Comprehensive understanding of relational databases.

- Experience of working with a current Business Intelligence would be advantageous but is not essential.

- Statistical analysis skills coupled with strong problem solving ability.

- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at many levels.

- Capable of interpreting stakeholder requirements into useful actions.

- Determined and willing to follow every job through to a successful end.
