Brief about this role:

This role is a high visibility (upto to CXOs & investors), leadership and team management role responsible to drive product/solution architecture, detailed design, high-quality coding, complete testing, software processes, development tools, project management and performance of product delivery team. Work closely with Product Managers, Business teams, QA Team, BI & Data Analytics team. This role will be a part of larger engineering group reporting into CPO/CTO.

Responsibilities:

1. Product Delivery Responsibility:

a. Ownership of a full-fledged large scale internet product including front-end (Website, mSite, App), back-end (including Database)

b. Complete responsibility of all stages of software development life cycle - understanding business and customer problems, requirement analysis, scalable and reliable solution/architecture, detailed (high-level & low-level) design, coding & unit testing, detailed test planning with QA, post-production bugs fixes (including RCA). Proper documentation, reviews, checklists, change management and task/release tracking

c. Solely responsible for solution/design of a new product or feature

d. Work closely with product managers, solution architect, business/sales managers and partners/customers to have clear understanding of how product is performing and what needs to be done. Provide substantial technology and functional inputs to Product Managers on regular basis to aid in better evolution of product.

2. Project Management Responsibility:

a. Detailed planning, tracking and post-production monitoring of product releases. Resource planning and detailed estimations for future releases.

b. Proper work allocation to team members. Regular project status tracking and reporting to senior management.

c. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for dependencies to deliver the product/release.

3. People Management Responsibility:

a. Lead a team size of 10-15 members comprising of Developers/Senior Developers, Team Leads/Sr. Leads.

b. Responsible to maintain a cordial working relationship and conducive culture within the team

c. As per the HR processes, appraise team members with timely feedback and guidance

d. Complete knowledge and awareness about the abilities, skill level, quality and concerns of each team member. Do proper growth planning for each team member.

4. Establish and drive software processes within engineering team. Contribute at company level to establish best practices to improve quality of products and performance from product team

5. Maintain highly positive attitude and conducive working relationship with peers

6. Always keep himself/herself updated about technology advancements, new trends. Share the knowledge with team members and peers regularly.

Requirements:

- 10-15 Years of experience in Software Development with minimum last 3 years- experience in internet product development with reporting of minimum 7 team members.

- Experience of owning complete end-to-end internet product including front-end, back-end & database with sizeable scale of at least 1 million unique visitors/transactions in a month

- Hands-on experience of architecture/solution, detailed design, high-quality coding and Unit, Module and Automation testing skills

- Experience of interfacing with internal stakeholders like Product Managers, Business/Sales Team and external technology and business partners

- Experience of Agile development methodology and continuous software development lifecycle processes

- Microsoft technologies -ASP.NET, MVC, C#, WCF, Restful Web API, JSON/XML, SQL Server

- Front-end related technologies - Angular JS (& other similar frameworks), JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS

- Experience of OOPS concepts, Data structures, Design patterns, algorithms etc

- Proficient in database schema (SPs/triggers) design, development and optimization with RDBMS database.

- Experience of using 3rd party APIs like Payment Gateways, Wallets, Google APIs, Facebook APIs etc

- Highly motivated, Enthusiastic and positive attitude, Confident & high self-belief, Excellent team player and collaborator

- Ability to clearly communicate among team members, peers, partners and senior management

- Excellent crisis manager and problem solver for both product and people issues

Education:

B- Tech/BE/MCA/MTech Degree from a reputed university
