We- re hiring a QA Project Lead The QA Project lead will be leading the team responsible for of the quality of the advertising in our games and will be overseeing the development and live test execution layers for this project. The Challenge Ahead: - The QA Project Lead (Advertising Technology) within the Quality Verification organization has ownership for planning and managing test coverage of all Advertising testing. - The role will have you managing an execution team and aligning and communicating with integration teams and marketing partners to resolve and understand the root cause of issues. - You will have a leading role in developing overall strategy of AdTech QV and be responsible for managing team KPIs and growth. You will regularly sync with partners in all games teams and other AdTech QV locations. What a QA Project Lead does at EA: - As a QA Project Lead, your primary focus will be ensuring the quality of the advertising within our games and managing the effort from your location. - Some of the tasks are but not limited to test strategy, partner meetings, and people management. You will ensure test improvements and best practices are shared across teams to improve their testing and processes. Another focus will be understanding the Quality process of several projects, resolving identified gaps, assessment, and prioritization of risks. You- ll be an expert in Advertising technology and be able to mentor the testers in achieving their goals. - You will also collaborate regularly with members of Development QA, Global Brand Publishing, Production and Development, and ensuring test cases are executed efficiently by your team. Key to the role is providing feedback on the effectiveness and efficiency of team processes and methodologies and working with onsite and offsite teams to help drive quality in our advertising platforms and campaigns. - Another task that is assigned to all roles in AdTech QV is to provide solutions and improvement to ongoing workflows and processes. We are also a learning and development team that emphasises the opportunity of learning or designing tools that allow us to improve our day to day tasks. Desired: - Advertising technology testing (Ad Platforms, Ad providers and Ad campaigns) - HD Experience (Consoles - XONE and PS4) - Familiarity with HD functionality - Understanding of how to load builds/packages - Knowledge of platform requirements - Ability to consistently capture content (capture card) and reproduce issues Project Management: Certification or professional experience in Software Project Management Tools: Knowledge of SQL and Data Analysis tools such as PowerBI and Tableau Tools: Knowledge of JIRA and other Atlassian tools Automation experience - Ability to work directly with game teams to provide faster, more personal, and more efficient support - Understanding of automation tools/processes (Appium/Selenium, Espresso, TestDroid, etc) - Ability to create/apply simple automation scripts so that basic checks can be run automatically Charles Proxy expertise or equivalent. - Understanding of how network traffic and Ad SDKs function - Ability to capture, read, and identify issues within a Charles Log - Ability to perform rewrites and then cross-check that information Requirements: - Project Management: Certification or professional experience in Software Project Management - Experience in Leading QA teams or equivalent. - Tools: Knowledge of SQL and Data Analysis tools such as PowerBI and Tableau - Tools: Knowledge of Excel - Macros/Pivot tables - Familiarity with COPPA/GDPR (understanding what they are, and the importance/severity) - Mobile testing experience: QA testing or Engineering or equivalent. - Taking ownership of the advertising project - No 9 to 5 mentality - this is a challenging environment that mandates flexibility - A self-starter with high level of comfort & enjoyment in both team and individual settings - Ability to understand complex architecture dependencies with other systems - Very strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to identify risks and escalate to applicable stakeholders - Strong observational and analytical skills - Detail-oriented - Strong tracking and organizational skills - Passion to learn new technologies and systems with high degree of ownership - Ability to be flexible and team-oriented, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks in fast paced environment - Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) - Proficiency with Mobile platforms (Android and iOS) - Ability to identify root causes and propose viable solutions - Strong sense of urgency to mitigate risks and potential areas of concern proactively rather than reactively EA is an equal opportunity employer.
