1.1 ABOUT THE JOB : - Work as a GMAT strategy mentor in the most successful test prep company in the world. Your work would not just have output but IMPACT. - Go beyond the job of a typical mentor (taking office hours) - learn to leverage 500-points of data (you will have more insights than a typical private tutor does) for every student to precisely guide them to their target scores - consider yourself as a strategy consultant transforming their GMAT study plan and accoutrements to product outsized results. - In addition to this, work with Subject Matter, Product Management, and Technology teams to improve student workflows, create content and a seamless user experience to ensure success for every student. - As a mentor there is no high that can match the high of getting a student to their target GMAT Score. That feeling is surreal and fortunately for you, you would get to experience this as a part of this job. 1.2 ABOUT E-GMAT : e-GMAT is on a mission to make online test prep more effective than studying with a private tutor. We plan to achieve this by building technology which when combined with our teaching pedagogy, makes learning more effective and personal, powering customer success. The stupendous success of our students is a testament to the success of our strategy and of 10-years of investment in pedagogy and technology. Two metrics demonstrate this success: 1. 700+ Scores Verified: We have delivered more 700+ scores - about 8X as many as the average GMAT Club partner, whether you look at the last 5 years, 5 months, or 5 weeks. 2. Success rate: Statistically, only 10% of students score 700+. However, our Last Mile Push program has a success rate of 70% and a median score of 720. A majority of the 30% who fail, end up being successful in a subsequent attempt. Bottom line - we have created a system that practically ensures success if you hit our internal metrics. e-GMAT started in 2010 with one full time and two part time co-founders and $10,000 in investment. To succeed at e-GMAT, you need to be a lifelong learner, be ready to embrace change, and imbibe our values of honesty, persistence, and transparency. 1.3 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Ensure Student Success and 700+ Scores As a part of the Customer Success team, your primary job will be to ensure student success. One of the ways to accomplish this is to address the problems that the students bring to our attention but the best way we do this is through working with diligent students that are on the cusp of success. You will review the student emails and accounts in detail, review student data in the system with over 500 feedback data points and give him/her appropriate guidance. The guidance will take the form of a hyper-specific improvement plan such that he/she is well-educated and equipped to be successful with or without your help. You would also be responsible for analyzing their failed attempts on the test to ensure rapid improvement and success henceforth in their next attempt. Your goal as a mentor would be keeping the diligence factor and anxiety factor low. Conduct webinars to educate students. : A GMAT aspirant makes 30+ decisions during his preparation. A single decision has the potential to reduce likelihood of success. To ensure that students make logical decisions, you will conduct webinars with the goal to provide right information at the right time. These webinars and the corresponding learnings and success also act as inputs to product enhancements. Enhance existing work processes : Working with Product & Program Management, Technology, and Design teams, you will identify opportunities for process improvement, opportunities that either improve students- workflows or yours or both. Once approved, you will then define and implement these opportunities to create impact within the team and outside of it too. Enhance e-GMAT's content repository Using data, and your judgement, you will identify opportunities to improve e-GMAT's existing content to reduce the number of emails and to better serve students- needs. Once approved, you will then work with the Design (e-Learning) and Technology teams to execute the improvement. Boost Knowledge Creation : You will create educational videos/articles to provide the right strategy guidance to students at scale. 1.4 KEY SKILLS : We are looking at candidates with experience of at least 1-2 years. You must have an undergraduate degree. Other than that, we are looking for someone who has 1. A logical, data-oriented and analytical mindset 2. Should have excellent presentation and communication skills 3. Good writing skills and a solid command over the English language 4. A willingness to learn and go above and beyond 5. An ability to self-start and stay self-motivated 6. Problem Solving skills and a process-oriented approach 1.5 EXTRA CREDIT : The following are not required but you get extra credit for the same: 1. Bachelor's and/or master's degree from a top undergraduate university 2. Solid GPA in school and in undergraduate/graduate studies 3. Stellar scores in one or more of GMAT/GRE/CAT/SAT/ACT 4. Prior teaching/mentoring work experience 5. Relevant Work Experience by Industry: Start-ups, Consulting, Technology (Includes ed-tech) 6. Relevant Work Experience by Profile: Business Analyst, Project Manager, Associate Consultant, Knowledge Analyst, Product Manager, Program Manager (Can be an associate for any of the above roles) Note: Please feel free to apply even if you do not meet all of the above criteria. 2. COMPENSATION AND RECRUITMENT PROCESS: 2.1 COMPENSATION : - Commensurate with experience and at par with the best in the industry. - Fixed component: 8-12 LPA + Performance Bonus (up to 30%) + 35k joining bonus.
